Is this film just another Groundhog Day-esque cinematic experience? Perhaps. The fact that you've seen this story at least a half-a-dozen times shouldn't mean it doesn’t accomplish its goal of offering a fun experience with more than a couple laugh-out-loud moments.
🎬When We First Met🎬 is a Netflix original comedy starring Adam Devine, Alexandra Daddario, and Shelly Hennig. The film offers a tired and obvious plot, shallow characters, and yet, still offers a worthy cast that can still make you laugh even if you know what’s coming. Adam Devine can switch between slapstick and earnest so quick that you can’t help but truly appreciate his screen presence.
Highlight moment: The banter scripted each time devine and daddario meet is gold. they play off of each other very well and the quick wit doesn't fail.
OVERALL: There’s nothing original to be found here in this Hot Tub Time Machine plot but it has its solid moments throughout and is worthy of at least one watch.
